Poultry

• Fresh Norfolk “white” turkeys 4.5kg – 10kg

The Three Bird Roast

For something different, try a three bird goose or duckling. This is a par boned goose or duckling filled with succulent breast fillets of turkey and chicken with just a smidgen of “Ashley Sizzler” force meat. Easy to cook, easy to carve.

The average weight for a goose is 5kg – 6kg, duckling 2kg – 3kg. Please remember this is boneless weight.

Three bird roast combinations:

• Boneless duckling with turkey and chicken fillets, homemade force meat
• Boneless duck with turkey and pheasant fillets, homemade force meat
• Boneless goose with turkey and chicken fillets, homemade force meat
• Boneless goose with turkey and pheasant fillets, homemade force meat

Or we can substitute the turkey for chicken or any combination. Due to the fatty nature of wildfowl we do not put goose or duck on the inside of the roast.

Force meat is pork based using our declicious “Ashley Sizzler” seasoning.

Other force meats (all pork based)

• Cranberry and orange
• Chesnut and apple
• Apricot and apple
• Sage onion and leek

Please note: orders for the three bird must be in before 7th December due to the preparation time required. These will be prepared by us using the finest produce and supplied to you frozen.

Local Game

• Wild duck (Mallard Teal may be available)

Please note: with wild game we reject any “over shot” birds, however, we do warn you that game will contain small shot.

Wild Venison

• Boneless Haunch (for roasting, braising, or steaks)
• Boneless Saddle (for casserole, stews, soups or pies)
• The “Bambi Banger” (delicious when added to casseroles and stew)

Pork

All cuts of pork are available:

• Pork Leg Joints (any size cut)
• Pork Loin (as chops or as a plain or stuffed roll)

• Belly Pork
• Shoulder of Pork (as a roast or diced for pies and casseroles)

Homemade Sausages

We produce our own sausages on the premises in the following varieties:

• The “Ashley Sizzler”
• Pork, Stilton and Port Xmas Special
• Homemade sausage meat in packs of approx 454g

Gammon

We sell gammon for home cooking in any size of cut from 1kg to 5kg. The joints are supplied boneless and well trimmed, with no need to soak. Available plain or smoked.

We also sell gammon steaks.

Bacon

• Dry cured short back bacon
• Dry cured streaky bacon

Our bacon is available in plain or smoked

Cooked Meats

Hams

We also will have our own home-cooked hams sold as joints or sliced and vacuum packed in handy sized packs:

• Honey glazed (currently only available as joints)

Joint sizes range from 1.5 kg – 5 kg. Sliced pack sizes start at 200g

The Fernie Pork Pie

We are now taking orders for the famous Gold and Silver Award winning “Fernie” Pork Pie, which has always been exclusive to Gregorys of Market Harborough…until now!

Steve has been plagued by people asking him to resurrect this delicious pie and we are delighted he has agreed to do so, exclusively for Ashley Farm Shop customers.

Weights: approx 0.45kg (1lb), approx 0.9kg (2lbs), approx 1.8kg and over (4lbs)

We do ask you to order in advance to help us estimate the quantity required as they will be produced very close to Christmas to guarantee freshness.

Game Pie

We will also be producing Game Pies in the following weights:

approx 0.45kg (1lb), approx 0.9kg (2lbs), approx 1.8kg and over (4lbs)

Again, please place your orders as soon as possible so we can estimate oven time and demand.

Christmas Puddings

We’re selling scrummy Xmas puds, made by us, using only the very best ingredients. These will be available in various sizes from the shop.

We have now got a new selection of terracotta flower pots and lava pots in. Please come and have a look. These are all frost proof and will look great planted up to add a splash of colour for the winter. We have a good selection of winter plants including pansies and violas to create the brightness on a dull autumn day.
